If you’re living with a missing tooth (or teeth) and are looking for a more permanent replacement than a denture or a bridge, a dental implant could be what you’re looking for.
A dental implant is a safe, secure, long-lasting solution to support one or a full row of missing teeth. Following treatment, your dental implant will look and function just like natural teeth.
Our initial consultation includes a Cone Beam CT scan. We are one of the only practices in the area to have a CBCT machine for implant planning. The Straumann implant is then placed under local anaesthetic, but we also offer sedation for patients who feel anxious.
Generally, we wait for around 3 months before fixing the final crown onto the implant. This allows time for the bone to form a strong and secure bond to the implant. But don’t worry, during the healing phase, we can use a range of temporary options to cover the gap.
Once the bone has bonded we take a digital scan of your teeth and fabricate the final crown which will blend in perfectly with the surrounding teeth.
